I have been fortunate enough to take part in projects as well as be an active member of music ensembles.

Ardee Concert Band
2012-present
Since 2012, I have been a member of Ireland’s third oldest concert band. I initially began as a percussionist in the youth band and after only a year and a half, I was invited to join the senior band as a percussionist. To date, the band has been very successful and I am part of an award-winning percussion section.

Oriel Traditional Orchestra
2019-present
Recently, I was asked to play percussion in the Oriel Traditional Orchestra. The ensemble has around sixty members, all of whom are very skilled in their instrument. In October 2019, the orchestra won a people’s choice awards at Edinburgh’s EPIC Awards for their work.

RehabCare
September 2019-December 2019
I was fortunate enough to work with participants from RehabCare and write a song with them. The project, as part of a module at Dundalk Institute of Technology, allows for these participants to learn or hone new skills in music. For myself and my colleagues, it gave us an opportunity to work with people who have intellectual disabilities. It was an eye opening experience for everyone involved and is a project I will always hold dear to me.

Percussion Counselor
June 2018-August 2018
Over the course of the summer of 2018, I was on a J1 in America teaching and playing music at a performing arts camp. While gruelling at times, the experience gave me great perspective of what’s expected of a musician in the industry, particularly musical theatre. Performing ten shows in twelves weeks, with additional concerts sprinkled in as well as teaching and having to the learn the music, on top of being responsible for the wellbeing of around fifty girls over the course of the summer was tough yet very rewarding in the end. I am grateful for what it taught me and I am even more grateful for the friends I made.
